Briana first stepped into a yoga studio in the midst of a stressful final year of college. She went first thing in the morning every day after that first day, and the way it cleansed and recharged her mind and body was truly life-changing. She deepened her yoga practice over the next six years and then took the leap to getting her 200RYT through the EmPower School of Yoga in Nashville. Her classes are influenced by the Baptiste method mixed with traditional yoga philosophy. She loves exploring the science behind yoga and learning how to better lead her students into a practice that strengthens their proprioception and parasympathetic nervous system.
Trained first as a figure skater, Briana has competed in horseback riding and ballroom/Latin dancing semi-professionally in past lives. Her current life in Nashville is one filled with yoga and songwriting. When she’s not on her mat or on the stage, you can find her snuggling with her dog JoJo and her cat Nellie Bly, or finding new ways to incorporate mango into her life. She’s passionate about encouraging all bodies to get on their mats, move, and breathe.
